On the third floor of the St. Louis Science Center is a little hidden room, called the Discovery Room, where you can pay to play for 45 minutes. Tickets are $4 per person for non members and free for members.  And the best part is you can call ahead and reserve your tickets that way you don’t arrive expecting to get in and have to tell your kiddos that it is sold out (talk about a Toddler meltdown in the making!!!)

This room is full of hands on, interactive games and activities that will have your kids imaginations blasting off! (Pun intended)

Activities include arts and crafts, dinosaur bone digging, dress up play, shadow puppet theater, a two level space ship with slide, train table, space toy table, foam building blocks, jungle animals, a Star Room and so much more.  The 45 minutes will seem to just fly by!

We love coming to one of these session because the boys get a chance to play with a variety of new toys and are enclosed in one room of the Science Center. Afterwards, we bring either snacks or a lunch and eat in one of the cafes and watch the balls snake through the elaborate ball maze.

This activity is definitely worth checking out with your kiddos!
