We were looking for a place to take the boys to get out of our condo and burn off the wiggles…boy were they amp’d up that morning!!! I’m sure our condo neighbors were not happy with their early morning antics. So on our way to see the Bagnell Dam, we found this hidden park.
This 92 acre park is surrounded by the Lake of the Ozarks and the Lake of the Ozarks State Park. The park has a fully stocked fishing pond, pavilions, a playground, three lighted soccer fields, and a newly constructed Sports Complex complete with three lighted 300′ baseball/softball fields and concession facilities.
**Note I had to use a stock photo from http://www.thelaketoday.com website of the playground as I did not snap one…when we were there, there were only two other groups. Apparently, it is normally never all that crowded.
We were given a tip from a local mom to follow the gravel road past the playground and up into the hills (it seriously looked like a road to nowhere) to get to an amazing lake access/picnic area. We took the boys there for a lunch picnic and some fishing and Clayton caught his first fish!!!
We give this park a 4 graham cracker rating! So much to see and do here!
