Located at 18 South County Centerway, St. Louis, MO 63129 (Enter through the mall entrance next to JC Penny to access the food court/play area)
Opened April 8th, the Fisher Price Toy Box play area is brand new, very clean and a great place to play with your toddlers/preschoolers.
The boys loved climbing on all of the structures, especially the trains, and it held their interest for over an hour. Similar to play areas located in other area malls, each item is coated in a rubbery substance and the floor is forgiving as well. As such, this area is great for my still top-heavy 18 month old!
The Fisher Price tool box play area allows for more climbing and challenge for older toddlers/preschools as compared to the play area at West County Center.
There are also five pay to ride toys in the food court area, including a helicopter, car, train, a wagon pulled by an elephant and a roller coaster simulator.
This is a great place to head if you are looking for a place to play for an hour or so on a hot or rainy day!
A couple of items to note:
- Currently, the mall does not contain a toy store but does contain a candy store. This didn’t make for a great opportunity to wander the mall.
- If you are in need of a place for lunch/dinner, Chik Fil A just opened near the JC Penny entrance.
- We arrived at the play area at 9:30 and we were the only ones there. By 11 am the area was packed with older kids who were running over the smaller kids.
